1. Internet and Connectivity
- Choose ISP: Etisalat (eand) or du for business fibre
- Minimum: 100Mbps dedicated for up to 20 users; 500Mbps+ for 20 to 100 users
- Order at least 6 to 8 weeks before move-in
- Consider dual ISP via SD-WAN for business-critical operations
2. Structured Cabling
- Engage cabling contractor before fit-out completes
- Minimum Cat6A for all new installations
- 2 data points per desk minimum
- Cable test certificate on completion
3. Network Equipment
- Business-grade firewall (Fortinet FortiGate recommended)
- Managed PoE switches
- Wireless access points — 1 per 150 to 200 sqm + 1 per meeting room
- Configure VLANs: Corporate / Guest / VoIP / IoT / CCTV
4. Server and Storage
- Assess: on-premise, cloud, or hybrid?
- UPS for all servers and network equipment
- Server room: ventilated, locked, temperature monitoring
5. End-User Computing
- Laptop or desktop procurement
- Microsoft 365 licences deployed
- Antivirus and EDR installed on all devices
- Asset tagging and inventory
6. Communication
- IP telephone system (Yeastar, Grandstream, or 3CX)
- Number porting from previous numbers
- Meeting room AV: display, camera, microphone, speaker
7. Security
- CCTV system: entry points, server room, reception, car park
- Access control: biometric or RFID card for main entry and server room
- MFA on all accounts, email security, endpoint protection
8. Ongoing Support
- IT AMC contract in place before go-live
