Step 1: Choose the Right Licence

Step 2: Configure Security (Most Companies Skip This)
- Enable MFA for every account — prevents 99.9% of account compromises
- Conditional Access: block sign-ins from high-risk countries
- Anti-phishing policy: enable impersonation protection
- Check Microsoft Secure Score: address all Critical and High items
Step 3: Email Authentication (Critical)
SPF: v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
DKIM: Enable in Microsoft 365 Admin then add CNAME records to DNS.
DMARC: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain.com
Without SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, your emails end up in spam or get spoofed.
Step 4: Set Up Backup
Microsoft does NOT back up your data. Add a third-party backup: Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, Acronis, or Spanning. Cost: AED 15 to 30 per user per month.
